Frances Y. “Bonnie” Pernicka, 79 of Staunton, IL passed away at her residence in Staunton on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. Born April 1, 1937 in Dorchester, IL she was a daughter of the Late Mr. & Mrs. Clyde & Hester (Pinkston) Wilder. She married Frank Pernicka and he passed away in 1995. She was the Owner/Operator of the Squirrel Cage in Staunton. Bonnie was a member of the Staunton VFW Ladies Auxiliary and she enjoyed playing cards.
She is survived by 6 Children, Bev Voss of Staunton, IL; Susan (Jim) Schwandner of Mt. Olive, IL; Brian Scheller (Melissa Finley) of Mt. Olive, IL; Bruce (Boudett) Scheller of Troy, IL; Mike (Debbie) Pernicka of Prairietown, IL; and Connie (Gary) Bergschneider of Farmersville, IL; 10 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; 5 Great Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother, Elmore Wilder of Gillespie, IL; and 1 Sister, Loretta Roe of Georgia. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son, Donald Scheller; 1 Grandson, Christopher Scheller; 1 Brother, James Wilder; and 1 Sister, Freida Price.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 10 AM at Tine Sawyer Cemetery in Dorchester, IL with Rev. Ben Fiori officiating. Memorials are suggested to Tine Sawyer Cemetery or to the Staunton Food Pantry.
