Dear Williamses,
It was good to see all of you yesterday at the visitation---it's been quite a while. Ron regretted not seeing you again (except for Jerry whom we met in the hall coming in) but he has recently had back surgery and couldn't stand in line.

In Dean's obituary when Melinda wrote about his willingness to help someone out on a moment's notice I was reminded of the time, just after we'd gotten our first computer, when something went amiss with our modem connection with the phone line. Even though he and Barb were just about to leave on a trip, he came over and fixed it.

We miss having Dean and Barb nearby. We also miss your wildflower garden, Melinda. Dean helped build the terraces for it, didn't he? Barb loved that garden, and Dean even added his own favorites to it---some hollyhocks. The only part left now is a row of beautiful daffodils that come up each spring to remind us of Barb and Dean.

We extend our condolences.

Ron and Alvera

I am so heart broken to just found out about your dad passing. I really am fortunate to be able to call him and your mom my very close friends. . He always made sure I was doing okay. .
I remember the time they took me to Wisconsin with them in the RV, we laughed and talked about life..
Please know how deeply I cared for them both..I felt at home there..
So many memories I will treasure. .
Hugs..

Please accept my sincere condolences on Dean's passing. We were so fortunate to have your family involved with the Statesmen. All of my memories of him are good, filled with his positive support and infectious smile. Whenever I hear ANY song from "Grease", three things happen: 1.) I cringe. 2.) I flash back to these two crazy blonde guard girls (you might know them) bouncing to the music in the back of the bus. 3.) I flip through my mental photo album of the people who not only made those years special, but quite literally made them possible. Dean was one of those key people. I will always be grateful. God bless you and yours, and thank you for sharing your dad with us.
