Wilma (Dustmann) Brunnworth

Wilma Brunnworth, 92, of Worden, IL, went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL, with her family by her side.  She was born April 24, 1931 in Omphghent Township, Madison County, Illinois to the late Arthur & Emelia (Gusewelle) Dustmann.  She graduated from Worden High School.  She married Alvin Brunnworth on April 25, 1953 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Prairietown, IL, & he passed away on December 2, 1978.

She lived in Worden, IL & worked at Behme's Market in Worden, IL & later in Holiday Shores, IL.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden, the Ladies Aid of the church, & member/President of Worden American Legion Post #564 Ladies Auxiliary.  She enjoyed spending time with her family & friends, traveling, gardening, embroidering quilts, cooking, & baking.

She is survived by her daughters -  Denise (Barry) Hainaut  &  Nancy (Brad) Highlander, both of Staunton, IL;  her son -  Keith Brunnworth of Worden, IL;  five grandchildren -  Aaron (Emelia) Hainaut of Colleyville, TX,  Matthew (Erin) Hainaut of Worden, IL,  Julie (Brock) Nosbisch of Hamel, IL,  Lindsey Highlander of St. Louis, MO,  &  Amanda Highlander of Concord, MA;  six great grandchildren -  Anya Hainaut,  Amina Hainaut,  &  Aveline Hainaut of Colleyville, TX,  Miles Hainaut  &  Ethan Hainaut of Worden, IL,  &  Vincent Nosbisch of Hamel, IL;  one sister -  Myra Daugherty of Staunton, IL;  one brother -  Marlen (LaVonne) Dustmann of Staunton, IL;  & numerous nieces & nephews.

Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by twin granddaughters of Brad & Nancy Highlander;  one great granddaughter -  Penelope Nosbisch;  four brothers -  Eldon, Loris, Delmar (Pete), & William Dustmann;  a sister -  Norma Albrecht;  sisters-in-law -  Shirley Dustmann & Catherine Carter Dustmann;  brothers-in-law -  Victor Albrecht, Dale Jones, & Darrol Daugherty;  brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law -  Lawrence & Laura Brunnworth &  Elroy & Evelyn Brunnworth.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 AM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden, Illinois.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden, Illinois, with Rev. Heath Curtis officiating.  Burial in Worden Lutheran Cemetery in Worden, IL.  Memorials are suggested to either Trinity Lutheran Church of Worden, Worden Volunteer Fire Department, or to the American Cancer Society.
