William C. "Bill" Augustine

William C. "Bill" Augustine, 97, of Livingston, IL, passed away at 4:28 AM on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, IL.  He was born April 2, 1929 in Litchfield, IL, the son of the late John & Martha (Kroeger) Augustine Jr.  He married Frances M. Dumont in 1950 at the Courthouse in Edwardsville, IL, & were married for 75 years.  Frances passed away on November 5, 2025.

Bill was the Owner/Operator of Livingston Propane for over 50 years & was a part-time Butcher at Livingston Co-Op.  He was a member of Staunton Masonic Lodge #177 AF & AM, & enjoyed hunting & fishing in his younger days.

He is survived by two sons -  William J. (Maureen) Augustine  &  Jeffrey (Donna) Augustine;  grandchildren -  Christopher Augustine,  Lindsey & Danny Lyday,  Zachery Augustine (Tabi Jost),  Shelby & Ben Stedman;  great grandchildren -  Alex Lyday,  Nolan Augustine,  Tyler Lyday,  Isabelle Lyday,  Summer Lyday,  &  Joelle Stedman;  one brother -  John F. Augustine;  & several nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.  Besides his wife & parents, Bill was preceded in death by a daughter -  Patricia (Augustine) Poos;  a sister -  Alice Oliphant;  & a brother -  Robert Augustine.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Livingston, IL, with Pastor Darwin Schrader officiating.  Memorials are suggested to Staunton Masonic Lodge #177 AF & AM or to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livingston, IL.
