Timothy "Tim" Gerald Gruhlke Obituary

Timothy "Tim" Gerald Gruhlke, 49, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 3:25 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at his residence in Staunton, IL.  He was born May 20, 1977 in Joliet, IL, the son of the late Gerald & Linda (Michor) Gruhlke.  He married Sarah B. Richey on October 7, 2017 in Greenfield, IL & she survives.

Tim spent over half of his life as a first responder.  He worked as a firefighter, EMT, & a police officer.  Tim cared about everyone & wanted to help anyone that he possibly could.  He didn't know a stranger & could strike up a conversation with nearly anyone.  He will be missed by so many that have worked with him & known him.

Tim is survived by his wife -  Sarah;  children -  Abby  &  Aiden;  a brother -  Brian;  &  a niece -  Sydnee.  He is also survived by a brother-in-law -  Jeff (Amy) Richey,  & their children & grandchildren.  In addition, Tim is survived by his grandmother -  Dorothy Michor, as well as aunts, uncles, & cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents;  his grandfather -  Joseph Michor;  & his grandparents -  Paul & Ann Gruhlke.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL, with Pastor Derrick Taylor officiating.  

Memorials are suggested to Tim's children's educational fund, with checks made payable to Sarah Gruhlke.
