Thomas H. Grider

Thomas H. Grider, 74, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 2:10 PM on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at his residence in Staunton, IL.  He was born June 23, 1950 in East St. Louis, IL, the son of the late Thomas H. & Alberta (Beasley) Grider.  He married Marilynn "Cookie" Zude on May 10, 2008 at Bethel Baptist Church in Staunton, IL & she survives.

Thomas was a Tech Writer at Boeing in St. Louis, MO, a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army (retired), a Vietnam veteran, & a member of Staunton VFW Post #1241.  He enjoyed fishing, traveling, & spending time with family.  He graduated from Mt. Olive High School with the Class of 1968.

He is survived by his wife -  Marilynn "Cookie" Grider of Staunton, IL;  a step daughter -  Tonya (Joe) Leitschuh of LeRoy, IL;  two step grandchildren -  Josh (Kayla) Leitschuh of Champaign, IL,  &  Sarah (Sean) Dody of Aerosmith, IL;  three step great grandchildren;  three sisters -  Sharon (ray) Bledsaw of Hillsboro, IL,  Debbie (Ron) Masinelli of Staunton, IL,  &  Elizabeth Maass of Litchfield, IL;  three brothers -  Paul (Beth) Grider of Hillsboro, IL,  Jeff (Paula) Grider of Staunton, IL,  &  Bill Grider (Gena Grejtak) of Greenville, IL;  numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.

No services are scheduled.  Private burial will be held at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.
