Thelma M. (Hise) King

Thelma M. King, 79, of Highland, Illinois, passed away at 3:35 AM on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at River Crossing of Edwardsville, illinois.  She was born February 14, 1943 in Ridgway, Illinois, the daughter of the late Lawrence & Eva (Case) Hise.  She married Charles King on April 18, 1963 in Germany & he survives.

Thelma was employed as a Secretary for Madison Service Company in Edwardsville, Illinois.  She was also a past member of the First United Baptist Church of Staunton, & she enjoyed cooking & bird watching.

She is survived by her husband -  Charles King of Highland, IL;  two daughters -  Faith (Ridha) Gaddour of Aldi, VA, & Connie King of Lebanon, IL;  three grandchildren -  Casey Lautz,  Heather Lautz,  & James Lautz II;  four great grandchildren -  Makayla, Wesley, Brea, & Lucas;  numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister -  Geneva Price;  & a brother -  Gilbert Hise.

Per Thelma's wishes, no visitation or services are scheduled.  Memorials are suggested to either the American Cancer Society or to Shriner's Hospital for Children in St. Louis, MO.
