Telsie Juanita (Barnes) Rust

Telsie Juanita Rust, 88, of Staunton, Illinois, passed away at 11:27 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Heritage Health in Staunton, Illinois.  She was born January 29, 1934 in Ellington, Missouri (Reynolds County) to Dora & Ruth (Whitchurch) Barnes.  She married Pete Dobrinich on August 26, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas & they later divorced.  She then married Henry Rust on January 9, 1966 in Bunker Hill, Illinois & he preceded her in death in 2007.

She & Henry owned and operated their farm, a backhoe company, & several rental properties.  She loved gardening, Bingo, & going to the casino, especially Wendover, NV & the Argosy, & visiting family.

She is survived by two daughters -  Joyce Banovz of Staunton, IL & Regina "Gina" (Randy) Briskovich of Bunker Hill, Illinois;  grandchildren -  Roger (Carrie) Banovz Jr. of Carterville, IL,  Brian (Debra) Banovz of Neoga, IL,  Sheila (Karl) Tallman of Bunker Hill, IL,  Shawn Garrett of Bunker Hill, IL,  Zebadiah "Zeb" Briskovich of Glen Carbon, IL,  & Sarah Dobrinich of Bethalto, IL;  great grandchildren -  Bethany (Banovz)(Nate) Mathenia,  Zachary, Abigail, & Haley Banovz,  Alex & Austin Tallman,  Angelina Dobrinich;  step grandchildren -  Kelly (Ashley) Bryant & Kurtis Bryant;  step great grandchildren - Kember, Kaden, & Lucas Bryant;  great great grandsons -  Lucas & Levi Mathenia;  step granddaughter -  Alexandra Rust;  2 sisters -  Rita (Carl) Casey of Heber City, Utah, & Nancy Mills of Annapolis, MO;  1 brother -  Dave (Debbie) Barnes of Belleville, IL;  & several nieces & nephews also survive.

Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by -  1 son -  Michael Dobrinich;  4 brothers -  William (Boy), Ralph, Tim, & Tex Barnes;  grandson - Joshua Dobrinich;  great granddaughter -  Carli Tallman;  stepson -  Charles Rust;  & step granddaughter - Brittany Rust.

Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Bunker Hill City Cemetery in Bunker Hill, Illinois.  Memorials are suggested to Staunton VFW Post #1241.
