Sue (McRill) Bruhn

Sue Bruhn, 78, of Staunton, IL, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at her residence in Staunton, IL. Born June 3, 1943, in Detroit, MI, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Raymond & Evelyn (Stevens) McRill. She married Wayne D. Bruhn Sr. in October of 1963, and he passed away on July 17, 2015. She worked as the Owner/Operator of Kiddie Korner Day Care in Staunton with her sister Sharon for several years. She also worked as a Certified Nurses Aide at The Glenwood and at Heritage Health in Staunton. Sue was a member of Net Community Church of Staunton and volunteered at Helping Hands Center in Staunton.

She is survived by 4 sons, Wayne (Kelly) Bruhn Jr. of Worden, IL, Tim Bruhn (Barb Best) of Staunton, IL, Bob Bruhn of Mt. Olive, IL, Mark Bruhn of Staunton, IL, 1 daughter, Missy Bruhn of Staunton, IL, 11 grandchildren, Nicholas Bruhn (Chelsea Bollman), Kyle Bruhn, Josh Bruhn (Taylor Hasse), Jake Bruhn, Tim Bruhn, Seth Bruhn (Abbey Patton), Savannah Bruhn (Kyle Koperwitz), Hailee (Josh) Pirkle, Troy Bruhn, Kassidy Abernathy, and Connor Abernathy, 3 great grandchildren, Audrey Bruhn, Blake Bruhn, and Hadley Bruhn.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 brother, Richard McRill and 1 sister, Sharon Diesselhorst.

Friends may call from 4:30 to 6:30 PM on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Net Community Church in Staunton, IL. Funeral services will follow at 6:30 PM at Net Community Church in Staunton with Rev. Derrick Taylor officiating. Private Interment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
