Stanley H. Witherbee

Stanley H. Witherbee, 86 of Staunton, Illinois passed away Friday, August 6, 2021, at Heritage Health in Staunton. Born December 1, 1934, in Grenville, IL, he was a son of the Late Mrs. Alice (Huff) Witherbee. He married Betty Vetter and she preceded him in death. He later married Marilyn Preston, who also preceded him in death. He worked as an Iron Worker with Local # 46 in Springfield, IL. He also worked out of Labor Local # 338 in Wood River, IL. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956. Stanley enjoyed playing poker, being “ornery,” and spending time with family.

He is survived by 1 Nephew, Ron (Shirley) Mueller of Staunton, IL, 2 Nieces, Judy (Jack) Hankins of Carlinville, IL and Lynda Parks of Wood River, IL; special companion – Lolita Kotzman of Staunton, IL. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive. Besides his mother and wives, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother- Ed Witherbee, 1 Sister - Nelda Sandrin, 2 Nephews – Kenny Mueller and Phillip Parks.

Private Graveside will be held at a later date.
