Shirley A. "Skip" (Self) Renner

Shirley A. "Skip" Renner, 91, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 12:34 PM on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Community Hospital of Staunton, IL.  She was born September 11, 1933 in Staunton, IL, the daughter of the late John O. & Marie (Sansone) Self.  She married Leonard Renner on August 25, 1956 & he passed away on September 16, 2003.

"Skip" was employed as a secretary at Staunton Unit Schools for many years.  She also worked as a part-time dispatcher at the Staunton Police Department.  She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Staunton, IL.

She is survived by one son -  Michael (Bridget) Renner of Staunton, IL;  one granddaughter -  Marley Renner of St. Louis, MO;  one sister -  Delores (Michael) Kapilla of Highland, IL;  & many nieces & nephews also survive.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters -  Patricia Best  &  Ruth Tripilo.

There are no visitation hours.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL, with Pastor Nancy Hubert officiating.  Private burial will be held later in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.

Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
