Shirley K. (Buzick) Mitchelar ,65, of Staunton, Illinois died Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. Born October 2, 1954 in Granite City, Illinois, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Leonard Buzick. She married Don Mitchelar on October 14, 1972 in Carlinville, Illinois and he survives. She worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Community Hospital in Staunton. She was a member of Net Community Church of Staunton. Shirley had a loving devotion to her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a friend to all, and was willing to help anyone, anytime. She never knew a stranger.

She is survived by her husband, Don Mitchelar of Staunton, IL; 3 Sons, John Mitchelar of Benld, IL, Mike (Melissa) Mitchelar of Staunton, Illinois, and Matt (Shannon) Mitchelar of Staunton, Illinois; 7 Grandchildren - Kade, Dane, Zander, Garrett, John, Emmett, & Beckett; 8 Siblings - David (Belva) Stearns of Hillsboro, Illinois, Larry (Monica) Buzick of Staunton, Illinois, Lynn (Kandy) Buzick of Staunton, Illinois, Glenda (Rod) Rensing of Oakaville, Illinois, Randy (Sandra) Buzick of Belleville, Illinois, Ralph (Kandy) Buzick of Edwardsville, Illinois, Kenny Buzick of Staunton, Illinois, Julianne (Scott) Laforia of Mt. Olive, Illinois. Many Nieces & Nephews also survive. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Sisters - Janet Raymond, Carol Ring, & Mary Ann Wall and 1 Brother - Carl Buzick.

Friends may call from 9 AM to 12 noon on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Net Community Church in Staunton. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon with Pastor Derrick Taylor officiating. Remains will be cremated following services. Memorials are suggested to Net Community Church of Staunton or to Community Hospital of Staunton.
