Shirley Jean (Miller) Barnard

Shirley Jean Barnard, 87, of Moro, IL, passed away at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Community Hospital in Staunton, IL.  She was born June 14, 1936 in Alton, IL, the daughter of the late Robert & Hazel (Buchanan) Miller.  She married Bernie Barnard on October 6, 1955 & he survives.

Shirley was a Cake Decorator at Country Fair in Bethalto, IL & a Floral Designer at Firnhaber Florist in Staunton, IL for several years.  She enjoyed crafts, flowers, gardening, & her cats.

She is survived by her husband -  Bernie Barnard of Moro, IL;  three children -  Michael (Sheli) Barnard of Moro, IL,  Bonnie (Eric) Oliphant of Worden, IL,  &  Garrick Barnard of The Phillippines;  five grandchildren;  &  three great grandchildren.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter -  Brenda Ramsey;  two sisters -  Beverly McCall & Diane Lewis;  & a brother -  Robert Miller.
