Ruth Marie (Walz) Buske

Ruth Marie Buske, 87, of Staunton, Illinois, passed away at 3:49 PM on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Staunton Health & Rehab Center in Staunton, Illinois.  She was born January 14, 1936 in Litchfield, IL, the daughter of the late Edward & Cordelia (Siegal) Walz.  She married Richard Lee Buske on October 26, 1956 & he passed away on September 14, 1998.

Ruth was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton, IL;  & a past member of Staunton Country Club.  She was an avid golfer & enjoyed playing Bunco with friends.

She is survived by two daughters -  Susan J. Hines of Litchfield, IL,  &  Sally Beth Buske of Grapevine, TX;  one son -  Scott (Heidi) Buske of Arlington, TX;  one granddaughter -  Cheyenne Kelly Childress of Watauga, TX;  one great granddaughter -  Eevie Marie Robbins of Watauga, TX;  &  one sister -  Donna Holeschek of Staunton, IL.  She was preceded in death by her husband & parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton, IL, with Rev. Phil Girardin officiating.  Private burial will be in Mt. Olive City Cemetery in Mt. Olive, IL at a later date.
