Ronald G. Clardy

Ronald G. Clardy, 82, of Staunton, IL - formerly of Worden, IL, passed away at 7:55 AM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at his residence in Staunton, IL.  He was born July 5, 1943 in Worden, IL, the son of the late Woodrow Wilson & Lillian (Heinemeier) Clardy.  He married Helen Knight on July 11, 1981 at the Lutheran Church in Carpenter, IL & she survives.

Ron was a truck driver for ABF in St. Louis, MO for many years.  He also served his country in the U.S. Navy, & was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden, IL, & Worden American Legion Post #564.

He is survived by his wife -  Helen Clardy of Staunton;  two sisters -  Judy (John) Cignetti of The Villages, FL,  &  Linda (Wally) Engelke of Sebring, FL;  & a sister-in-law -  Kathryn Clardy of Bethalto, IL;  & several nieces & nephews also survive.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother -  Bernie Clardy.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL, with Rev. Dustin Krystowiak officiating.  The Staunton Military Honor Guard will conduct military rites at the funeral home following the service.  Interment will be held at a later date at Worden Lutheran Cemetery in Worden, IL..  Memorials are suggested to either Worden American Legion Post #564,  Trinity Lutheran Church of Worden, IL, or to Staunton Helping Hands Center..
