Roman A. Meckles

Roman A. Meckles, 52, of Benld, Illinois died Friday, July 24, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Clayton, MO. Born January 9, 1968 in Staunton, he was a son of John D. Meckles and the late Lois E. (Nepute) Meckles. He worked as a Branch Vice President at Bank of Springfield in Staunton, Illinois. Roman worked for many years in the financial industry. He was an avid golfer, sports enthusiast, and loved the New York Yankees.

He is survived by his father, John D. Meckles of Staunton, IL; brother, Jay (Lora) Meckles of Lake Ozark, MO; sister, Maria (Mark) Langston of Maplewood, MO; 5 nieces and nephews, Jennifer Meckles Higgins (husband Nathan) of Denver, CO, Johnny Meckles of Columbia, MO, Connor Vanallman of New York City, New York, Michael Langston of Maplewood, MO, and Matthew Langston of Maplewood, MO.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Staunton High School Golf Team.
