Robert L. "Bob" Zeller

Robert L. "Bob" Zeller, age 71, of rural New Douglas, IL, passed away Saturday, June 7th, 2025 at his residence.  Bob was born Thursday, June 3, 1954 in Highland, IL, the son of the late Walter & Mildred (nee Ganzer) Zeller.

Bob was a lifelong resident of rural New Douglas.  He was a hardworking man whose life reflected a deep love for the land & a passion for anything with an engine.  He spent many years working on the family farm.  He also worked for Nance's Auto Salvage, where he was known for his mechanical skill.  Whether he was fixing up a vehicle, riding his motorcycle down a back road, or tearing through trails on a 4-wheeler, he found joy in the simple freedom of the ride.  His life was a testament to hard work, loyalty, & doing what you love.  Above all, he loved his family deeply - especially his children & grandchildren - who brought him his greatest pride & joy.

Bob was devoted to his family, & is survived by his children -  Nic Zeller (Christy),  Kayce Zeller (Simon),  Jennifer Garcia (Santiago),  &  Megan Zeller;  his grandchildren -  Benjamin,  Allyson,  Braden,  Millie,  &  Barrett;  his siblings -  Linda Mriscin (Ed),  &  Betty Straube (Bob);  & his aunt -  Janice Landi (Angelo).  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Mildred Zeller;  his brothers -  Edwin, Gary, & Mike;  & his brother-in-law -  Bob Straube.

Bob's family will hold a "Celebration of Life" at a later date.
