Robert Bruhn Obituary

Robert D. Bruhn, 71, of rural Bunker Hill, Illinois, passed away at 7:50 AM on Monday, September 26, 2022 at his residence near Bunker Hill, Illinois.  He was born July 25, 1951 in Litchfield, Illinois, the son of the late Harry E. & Velma (Pike) Bruhn.  He married Vickie Ann Hundley on March 6, 1973 in Granite City, Illinois & she survives.

Robert was a Coal Miner at Monteray #2 Coal Mine in Albers, Illinois for over 20 years.  He has been a member of the United Mine Workers Association #2295 since 1978.

He was also a member of Worden Christian Church in Worden, Illinois;  a member of Staunton Masonic Lodge #177 AF & AM & New Douglas Masonic Lodge #560 (past);  a Master Mason for 33 years, & a member of the Scottish Rite & Shriners for 34 years.  He enjoyed being with his family & spending time with his grandchildren & great grandchildren, & also hunting, fishing, & trapping.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Ann Bruhn;  3 children - Robert (Vicki) Bruhn, Brandie (Brad) Wagoner, & Curtis Bruhn;  8 grandchildren - Samantha Worthen, Katlyn (Nathan) Hopper, Alyssa (Drake) Lineback, Blake Bruhn, Brandon Wagoner, Zachary Wagoner, Kristin Wagoner, & Eli Wagoner;  3 great grandchildren - Paisley & Paxton Hopper, & Knox Lineback;  his twin brother - Raymond (Claudia) Bruhn, & 4 other siblings - Larry (Jocelyn) Bruhn, Jayne (Ron) Badtke, David Bruhn, & Alan Bruhn;  & many nieces & nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by 1 son - Aaron Bruhn;  his father - Harry E. Bruhn;  his mother - Velma Bruhn;  his stepmother - Mae Bruhn; & a sister-in-law - Patty Bruhn.

No services are scheduled.  Memorials are suggested to either Shriners Hospital for Children or to the Worden Christian Church in Worden, Illinois & may be sent to Williamson Funeral Home, 108 W. Henry St., Staunton, Illinois  62088.
