Rev. Larry C. Braman Sr., 82, of Staunton, Illinois, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at his residence in Staunton, Illinois. He was born on July 17, 1939 in Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, the son of the late William Marion & Linnie Francis (Patterson) Braman. He married Vivian Patricia “Pat” Brewsaugh on October 8, 1955 in Hernando, Mississippi & she passed away on September 18, 2018.
He worked as an auto worker for General Motors for 30 years, then went into full-time ministry. In addition to pastoring at several area Baptist churches, the most recent being First General Baptist Church of Staunton, he & his wife Pat also spent a year as Missionaries in Jamaica. He was a current member at Net Community Church in Staunton.
Survivors include 4 Children - Larry Braman Jr. of Staunton, Lisa (Steve) Worley of Staunton, Richard Braman of Staunton, & Randy (Pam) Braman of Staunton; 10 Grandchildren; 23 Great Grandchildren; & several Nieces & Nephews also survive. Besides his wife & parents, he was preceded in death by a Daughter-In-Law – Reva Sue Braman; Brother – William Braman; & Sisters – Violet Jordan, Mabel Tangle, & Sylvia in infancy.
Friends may call from 10 AM to 12 noon on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Net Community Church of Staunton. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Net Community Church of Staunton, with Pastor Charles Linhart officiating. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to either Net Community Church of Staunton or to the family.
