Raymond "Ray" Scroggins

Raymond "Ray" Scroggins, 64, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 3:47 AM on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Community Hospital of Staunton, IL.  He was born May 12, 1960 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Louis & Nancy (Adamik) Scroggins.

Ray was employed as a Yardman at Tubular Steel in Staunton, IL for many years.  He also had worked as a cook at many area restaurants.  He was a retired member of the Staunton Volunteer Fire Department, was a member of Net Community Church of Staunton, the Staunton Lions Club, & was an avid hunter & fisherman.

He is survived by two sons -  Jon (Talia) Eaves of Staunton, IL,  &  Joe Eaves of Staunton, IL;  three grandsons -  Connor, Carter, & Zach Eaves;  two brothers -  Otto (Nancy) Scroggins of Raymond, IL  &  John (Michelle) Scroggins of Staunton, IL;  five sisters -  Nancy Scroggins of Harvel, IL,  Maryann Scroggins of Staunton, IL,  Ann (Jim) Masinelli of Staunton, IL,  Jean (Kenny) Hainaut of Fosterburg, IL,  &  Rena Smith of Staunton, IL;  numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers & one sister.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held from 11 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Staunton Fire Department Hall.  Memorials are suggested to the family in care of John Scroggins.
