Peggy S. (Franke) Nathan

Peggy S. Nathan, 62 of Staunton, IL passed away Friday, December 18, 2020 at Heritage Health in Staunton. Born January 23, 1958 in Litchfield, IL she was a daughter of the Mrs. Norma (Johnson) Franke and the late Edwin Franke. She married John R. Nathan on June 23, 1979 at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton, IL and he survives.

Peggy worked as a cashier at Wal Mart in Litchfield, IL for over 25 years. She previously worked at Echlin Manufacturing in Litchfield, IL. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton. Peggy was a “Professional Bargain Shopper” and was always smiling and laughing.

She is survived by her Husband, John R. Nathan of Staunton, IL, 2 Daughters, Rebecca (Doug) Looney of Staunton, IL, and Mallory (Danny) Scroggins of Staunton, IL, 6 Grandchildren, Owen, Evan, Greyson, and Addy Looney; Camden & Keegan Scroggins, Mother, Norma Franke of Staunton, IL, 2 sisters, Betty (Ron) Everley of Port Byron, IL, and Janelle Franke (Jeff Yarnik) of Staunton, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her Father, Edwin Franke.

There will be no visitation. Public graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 11 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Kelly Mitteis officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
