Paul H. Tebbe

Paul H. Tebbe, 88, of rural Staunton, IL, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at his residence with family by his side.  He was born November 30, 1936 in St. Rose, IL, the son of the late Leo & Regina (Detmer) Tebbe.  He married Martha Richter on April 25, 1959 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese, IL & she passed away August 13, 2017.

Paul was a self-employed farmer & also a crane operator at American Steel in Granite City, IL for many years.  He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Staunton, the Steelworkers' Union, & was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.  He enjoyed wood-working, farming, & his dogs.

Paul is survived by five children -  Alan (Alice) Tebbe of Mt. Olive, IL,  Carol (Kenneth) Bergbower of Robinson, IL,  Kathy (Thomas) Albrecht of Moro, IL,  Donna McAnulty of Staunton, IL,  &  Glenn (Mary) Tebbe of Staunton, IL;  nine grandchildren;  eight great grandchildren;  two brothers -  Charles Tebbe of Jamestown, IL,  &  Daniel (Marilyn) Tebbe of St. Rose, IL;  sister-in-law -  Rita Tebbe;  & numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.  Besides his wife & parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings -  James Tebbe,  Joan Kohlbrecher,  Richard Tebbe,  &  Patricia Stallard;  &  a son-in-law -  Forrest McAnulty.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Staunton, IL.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Friday, July 18, 2025 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Staunton, IL, with Rev. Thomas Hagstrom officiating.  Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.  

Memorials are suggested to either St. Jude Childrens' Research Hospital or to St. Michael Catholic Church of Staunton, IL.
