Norma O. Moore, 92, of Staunton, Illinois passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Heritage Health in Staunton, Illinois. Born July 2, 1929, in Worden, Illinois, she was a daughter of the Late Mr. & Mrs. Albert and Hazel (Chapman) Heinemeier. She married George E. Moore Sr. on July 13, 1946, and he passed away September 6, 1999. She worked as a self-employed beautician for many years. Norma loved to shop, play cards, & go to casinos.
She is survived by 2 daughters-in-law, Cheryl Moore of Staunton, IL and Carla Moore of Staunton, IL, 4 grandchildren, George Moore III of Godfrey, IL, Steven (Amanda) Moore of Staunton, IL, John (Elisabeth) Moore of Staunton, IL and Beth (Brian) Bequette of Staunton, IL, 9 great grandchildren, Blake, Luke, Cali, Sydney, Jake, Mya, Leah, Mark, and Ellie, 1 sister, Janet Schultz of Arizona. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, George E. Moore Jr, Bill Moore, and 1 daughter, Debbie Moore, 5 siblings, Virginia Kienle, Marie Eilert, Allen Heinemeier, William Heinemeier, and Dorris Walker.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 AM on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with Pastor Debbie Jo Atkins officiating. Burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. Memorials are suggested to either Staunton Education Foundation or to “Pack-a-Sack” at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Staunton.
