Our beloved best friend Merry L. Callovini, 66, of Staunton, Illinois, passed away at 4:36 AM on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Illinois. She was born August 7, 1956 in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of the late Shirley (Geisler) Hansel Buehler & the late Kenneth Buehler. She married Phil Callovini Sr. on September 3, 1988 & he survives.
Merry worked as a Paralegal with law offices in Edwardsville, Illinois for many years & was also a Mary Kay consultant. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church of Staunton, Illinois; Staunton Lions Club; & she volunteered at St. Michael's Church & at His Service Station in Staunton, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband - Phil Callovini Sr. of Staunton, IL; five children - Phil (Angie) Callovini Jr. of Holiday Shores, IL, Marthee (Pete) Sansone of Staunton, IL, Michael (Amy) Callovini of Staunton, IL, Krystal (Matt) Marra of Staunton, IL, & Cory (Jackie) Rodriguez of Staunton, IL; nine grandchildren - Julian Lopez, Austin Callovini, Tristan Sansone, Anthony Sansone, Madalyn Callovini, Gunnyr Marra, Alex (Michael) Ashpole, Samantha (Dustin) Scheller, & Michael Senaldi; three great grandchildren - Mila, C.J., & Finn; siblings - Eunice Morse, Carl Hansel, Max Hansel, Audrey Owens, Beth Buehler, Jackie Boda, Sheila Friend, Robbie Buehler, & Edith Schehl; brother-in-law - Alan (Debbie) Callovini; & several nieces & nephews also survive. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law & father-in-law - Annette & Bino Callovini.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, Illinois, with Rev. Thomas Hagstrom officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to either Darts for Kids, National Diabetes Foundation, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
