Maudie Marie (Sawyer) Partridge

Maudie Marie Partridge, 94, of Staunton, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at her residence.  She was born February 19, 1931 in West Prairie, Macoupin County, IL, the daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison & Laura Elizabeth (Swank) Sawyer.  She married Clifford Charles Partridge on August 14, 1948 in Staunton, IL, & he passed away October 31, 2019.

Maudie was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family & always put everyone else first!

She is survived by two sons -  Art (Jane) Partridge of Staunton, IL,  &  Randy (Pam) Partridge of Sawyerville, IL;  one daughter -  Marilyn (husband Ray, deceased) Rushton of Staunton, IL;  three granddaughters -  Christie (C.W.) Lorsbach,  Jamie (Jimmie) Franklin,  &  Janna (Jeff) Hughes;  six grandsons -  Cliff (Yvonne) Rushton,  Art (Sandra) Partridge,  Rusty (Jennifer) Rushton,  Ben Partridge,  Brian (Ashley) Partridge,  &  Jeremy Streif;  fourteen great grandchildren;  three great great grandchildren;  two brothers-in-law -  Don Brown  &  Fred Partridge, both of Staunton, IL;  & numerous nieces & nephews also survive.

Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law -  Ray Rushton;  one brother -  Ralph Sawyer;  & nine sisters -  Opal Brown,  Marilyn Lee Brown,  Edna Geraci,  Lois Oehler,  Hazel Bruhn,  Mary Iola Gobble,  Dorothy Mansholt,  Deloris Adler,  &  Bertha Pintar.

Visitation was held from 4 to 7 PM on Monday, September 29, 2025 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL.  Funeral services were held at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL, with Pastor Nancy Hubert officiating.  Burial was in Tine Sawyer Cemetery near Staunton, IL.
