Maryann Denise (Welch) McMahon

Maryann Denise (Welch) McMahon, 61, of Worden, Illinois, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Illinois.  She was born on May 19, 1959 in Staunton, Illinois to Kenneth & Nettie (Milligan) Welch. 

She graduated from Worden High School & was employed with SIU-Edwardsville as a Custodial Engineer.  She enjoyed gardening, fishing, bonfires, cold beer with her friends, spending time with her family & grandkids, & any time outside.

She is survived by her parents; her sister Gladys (Welch) Arnold; three children – Molly (McMahon) Wells, John (& Rachel) McMahon, & Monica McMahon; four grandchildren – Landon Wells, Kenzie Wells, Eli McMahon, & Nettie Knott; a niece, many cousins, & her significant other – Red Bertels.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date following established guidelines.  Memorials are suggested to either Adopt-A-Pet in Benld, IL or to Gift of Hope, 425 Spring St., Itasca, IL 60143 or to www.giftofhope.org.
