Mary Lee (Dillon) Brown

Mary Lee Brown, 88, of Staunton, Illinois, passed away at 9:03 PM on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Stillwater Senior Living in Edwardsville, Illinois.  She was born January 14, 1935 in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of the late Joseph & Marie (Hauschild) Dillon.  She married James Manning Brown on February 25, 1956 in Dorchester, Illinois & he passed away on May 16, 2016.

Mary Lee worked in retail sales at Ann's Fashions in Staunton, IL for many years, & was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton.  She loved her family & friends, her church, & she enjoyed her crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter -  Cindy (Joe) Pirok of Staunton, IL;  her son -  Jim (Leanne) Brown of Staunton, IL;  five grandsons -  Brad Pirok (Marcy Hawkins),  Ryan (Megan) Pirok,  Colin Pirok,  Andrew (Allie) Brown,  & Eric (Surbhi) Brown;  two great grandsons -  Jack Brown & Nithin Brown;  one future great granddaughter;  three sisters-in-law;  & many nieces & nephews also survive.  Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson -  Adam Brown;  & one brother -  Bill Dillon.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, Illinois.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.  Memorials are suggested to either Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton, Adopt-A-Pet of Benld, IL, Staunton Education Foundation, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
