Marilyn F. (Kurlbaum) Schumacher

Marilyn F. Schumacher, 93, of rural New Douglas, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Mill Creek Alzheimers' Special Care Center in Springfield, IL.  She was born May 25, 1930 in North Platte, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Emile & Ethel Pearl (Lewis) Kurlbaum.  She married Harold F. Schumacher on January 24, 1948 & he passed away December 21, 2012.

Marilyn was employed as a Production & Plant Manager at Forms Systems in St. Louis, MO for over 30 years.  She enjoyed painting, sewing, & playing cards.  Marilyn was very proud of her family!

She is survived by three children -  Dale (Patti) Schumacher,  Faye (Harry) Scheldt,  &  Jill Schumacher;  five grandchildren -  Michelle (Jerry) Selsor,  Chris (Trisha Beal) Scheldt,  Dominique (Chad) Schimpf,  Sara (Rafal Szmyglewski) Schumacher,  &  Hank (Siobhan Cusumano) Schumacher;  ten great grandchildren -  Jacob Selsor,  Blakely Selsor,  Benjamin Selsor,  Kyron Streeb,  Skylar Beal,  Connor Harris,  Carson Harris,  Dylan Szmyglewski,  Maya Szmyglewski,  &  Lily Szmyglewski;  numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.  Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson -  Jason M. Streeb;  two sisters -  Audrey Johnson  &  JoAnne Weiss;  two brothers -  Leonard Schwarz  &  Perry Schwarz;  & her stepfather -  Oscar Schwarz.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn, IL.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn, IL, with Rev. Martin J. Kaufmann officiating.  Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM at Virden Cemetery in Virden, Illinois.
