Marie (Tjaden) Kasubke

Marie Kasubke, 81, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 12:55 AM on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL.  She was born December 29, 1942 in Litchfield, IL, the daughter of the late John & Ella (Michuda) Tjaden.  She married Don Kasubke on March 16, 1963 at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton, IL & he survives.

Marie was employed as a Receptionist at many Dr.'s offices in Staunton, & later was a Receptionist for Cisler Real Estate in Staunton, IL.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church & Zion Altar Guild of Staunton, IL -  She & Don were part of the 1st 5 Husband & Wives Team EMT's that started the Staunton Area Ambulance Service in the mid 1970's -  St. Louis Cardinals Season Ticket Holder for 25 years -  Graduate of Hickey School of Business in St. Louis, MO -  Past President & Member of Staunton Junior Service Club.

She is survived by her husband -  Don Kasubke of Staunton, IL;  three children -  Bruce (Mary Ann) Kasubke of Mexico, MO,  Lisa (Ryan) Lackey of Kingwood, Texas,  &  Bret (Michelle) Kasubke of Dardenne Prairie, MO;  seven grandchildren -  Elizabeth & Sarah Kasubke,  Rachel & Lauren Lackey,  Katlyn (Jake), Ella, & Luke Kasubke;  & a sister-in-law -  Karen Pacey of St. Louis, MO.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton, Illinois.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton, with Rev. Phil Girardin officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.
