Lucille (Bozue) Spencer

Lucille Spencer, 95, of Brighton, Illinois died on Friday, April 10, 2020 at Alton Memorial Rehab & Therapy in Alton, Illinois. Born November 1, 1924 in Staunton, Illinois, she was a daughter of the Late Mr. & Mrs. Arthur C. & Rose (Mombrum) Bozue. She married Myron Leo Spencer on January 16, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri and he died July 12, 1985. She worked as a cook/waitress at the Boxboard Cafeteria in Alton, Illinois for many years.

Lucille is survived by her daughter, Sharon Hilts of Florissant, MO, her son, Myron Spencer of Worden, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Hector Bozue & Arthur Bozue and 1 sister, Rose Muentnich.

Private Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to Adopt-A-Pet of Benld, Illinois, or to the National Kidney Foundation.
