Lorraine E. (Scheibal) Hoffman

Lorraine E. Hoffman, 87 of Edwardsville, IL passed away at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville, IL on Monday, December 24, 2018. Born March 26, 1931 in Glen Carbon, IL, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Raymond J. Scheibal. She married James “Jim” Hoffman on May 5, 1951 and he passed away on September 17, 1995. She worked for the Edwardsville intelligencer until 1965. She then worked for the Metro East Journal in East St. Louis, IL from 1965 to 1979, and then worked in Mapping for the U.S. Department of the Army from 1979 until her retirement in 1993.

She is survived by 1 Daughter, Rhonda (J.D.) Vazzi of Staunton, IL; 1 Granddaughter, Kristine E. (Mike) Pinson of Worden, IL; 1 Grandson, Donald “Donnie” Vazzi of Denver, CO; 2 Great Granddaughters, Ashton E. Vazzi of Worden, IL and Alyssa Pinson of Worden, IL; 1 Great Grandson, Wyatt M. Pinson of Worden, IL; 4 Nephews, Jim (Melinda) Trebing of Edwardsville, IL; Dan (Linda) Trebing of Edwardsville, IL; Kent (Gina) Trebing of Edwardsville, IL; and Randy (Nannette) Trebing of Edwardsville, IL; 1 Niece, Kathy (Craig) Wheeler of Glide, OR. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Sister, Marlene E. Scheibal; 1 Sister-in-Law, RaeLee Trebing; and 1 Brother-in-Law, Kenneth Trebing.

No services are scheduled. Per her wishes, her remains were cremated. Memorials are suggested to the family.
