Larry John Kleeman

Larry John Kleeman, 77, of rural Bunker Hill, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Community Hospital of Staunton, IL.  He was born March 23, 1948 in Wood River, IL, the son ot the late John & Juanita (Metz) Kleeman.  He married Janice A. Hawkins on April 14, 1970 in Staunton, IL & she passed away August 21, 1997.  He then married Nancy Lee Retzer on June 2, 2002 & she survives.

Larry was employed as a foreman with Ameren Illinois for many years, & served as Petty Officer 3rd Class in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  He enjoyed wood-working & fishing & was a member of the Woodburn Bible Church in Woodburn, IL.

He is survived by his wife -  Nancy Kleeman of Bunker Hill, IL;  four daughters -  Kris (Mike) Hartoin of Troy, IL,  Glenda (Jay) Jackson of Troy, IL;  Keri (Mike) Shatley of Medora, IL,  &  Janine Miller of Mt. Olive, IL;  seven grandchildren -  Samantha & Sydney Hartoin,  J.D. & Tristan Loveless,  Haley Jackson,  Anneliese Shatley,  &  Jenna Miller;  step children -  Jim Maupin  &  Susan Elmendorf;  a step grandson -  Dylan Elmendorf;  & three step great grandchildren -  Sawyer Saylor,  Olivia  &  Xavior Maupin;  two brothers -  Ken (Lisa) Kleeman of Carlinville, IL,  &  Lyndall (Mona) Kleeman of Freeburg, IL;  & many nieces & nephews also survive.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, with Pastor Jon Sanders officiating.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.
