Kent David Henke, 64, of Staunton passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born on September 5, 1956 to Mrs. Rolene Henke and the late Norman Henke. He married Linda Rae on January 25, 1991, recently celebrating 30 years of marriage. He was a local farmer. Kent was a graduate of Staunton High School and a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton. He enjoyed farming, being outdoors, sports, and most importantly being with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda (Rae) Henke, 2 children, Kelsey Henke and Konner Henke, grandson, Greyson Henke, mother, Rolene Henke, brother, Raymond (RuthAnne) Henke, 2 sisters, Cheryl (Jim) Walker and Mary (Scott) Reed, brothers-in-law, Rich (Mary Beth) Rae, Jimmy Rae, John (Dawn) Rae. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family member also survive.
He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Henke, 2 brothers, Keith Henke and Ronald Henke, father-in-law, Jim Rae, mother-in-law, Dorrell “DI” Rae, brother-in-law, Jason Rae.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton.
Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association, National Kidney Foundation, or to Zion Lutheran Church of Staunton.
