Karen Ellen (Ylikopsa) Ishum

Karen Ellen Ishum, 68, of Livingston, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at home with family by her side.  Born February 25, 1958 in Granite City, IL, she was a daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. George & Ellen (Heise) Ylikopsa.  She married Kenneth Ishum in 1993 & he survives.

She worked as a secretary for an insurance agent at State Farm & loved spending time with family & her chihuahuas.

She is survived by her husband -  Kenneth Ishum of Livingston, IL;  seven children -  Kristina Copeland of Livingston, IL,  Vicki (Matt) Tieman of Staunton, IL,  Timothy (Jerilyn) Copeland of New Douglas, IL,  Chad Ishum of Livingston, IL,  Kris Ishum (Sarah Gaston) of Livingston, IL,  Tammy Ishum of Livingston, IL,  &  Tana McNaughton of Staunton, IL;  fourteen grandchildren;  one great grandchild, & one great grandchild on the way;  two brothers -  Tom (Kris) Ylikopsa of Wisconsin,  &  Chris (Linda) Holloway of Charenton, LA;  two sisters -  Jerrye (Jim) Delancey of Eros, LA,  &  Sherrye (Mike) Roach of Shreveport, LA;  numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her adopted parents -  Don & Jackie Holloway.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date.
