Joyree H. Chura

Joyree H. Chura, 62, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away at 9:09 PM on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at her residence in Edwardsville, IL.  She was born February 19, 1961 in Staunton, IL, the daughter of the late Harry & Louise (Tagnani) Chura.  She was married to Bradley Allen on October 6, 2000 in Edwardsville, IL & he survives.

Joyree worked at SIU-Edwardsville for 30 years, most recently as an H/R Manager, & later worked part-time at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Edwardsville, IL.  She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, IL & played in the Handbell Choir at St. Boniface Church.

She is survived by her husband -  Bradley Allen of Edwardsville, IL;  one sister -  Marthee (Tom) Rizzi of Staunton, IL;  &  four nephews also survive.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, IL.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 5:30 PM at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville, IL, with Father Jeffrey Goeckner officiating.  Private burial will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.

Memorials are suggested to either the Staunton Education Foundation,  St. Boniface Catholic Church of Edwardsville, IL, or to St. Mary's Catholic Church of Edwardsville, IL.
