Joyce Emma Bailey

Joyce Emma Bailey, 73, of Staunton, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at her residence in Staunton, IL.  She was born August 21, 1952 in St. Louis, MO, the daughter of the late Gerald & Bernice (Lindner) Bailey.

Joyce was employed as a Social Worker with the state of Missouri.  She enjoyed cooking, had a BIG heart, loved her nieces & nephews, enjoyed traveling, & had a witty sense of humor.

She is survived by three siblings -  Gerald "Jerry" Bailey of Overland, MO,  Karen Strebel of Staunton, IL,  &  Michael (Sonna) Bailey of Blackwell, MO;  several nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister -  Debbie Bailey;  one niece -  Heather Bailey;  & a sister-in-law -  Paula Bailey.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date.
