John Henry Eilers

John Henry Eilers, 65, of Livingston, IL, passed away at 9:59 PM on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Community Hospital of Staunton, IL.  He was born July 2, 1960 in Litchfield, IL, the son of Gloria (Riva) Eilers & the late Donald L. Eilers.  He married Peggy Jo Kilpatrick & she passed away on September 23, 2023.

John was a Master Mechanic at Cassens in Glen Carbon, IL for over 40 years.  He was a member of New Douglas Lutheran Church in New Douglas, IL, the NRA, & District #9 International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers.  He was an avid fisherman & loved being outdoors.

He is survived by two children -  Donald (Nancy) Eilers of Staunton, IL,  &  Beth (Brad) McNaughton of Edwardsville, IL;  two grandsons -  Evan Michael McNaughton  &  Wiatt James McNaughton;  his mother -  Gloria Eilers of St. Louis, MO;  three brothers -  Dennis (Susan) Eilers of Albuquerque, NM,  Robert (Dan) Eilers of St. Louis, MO,  &  Thomas (Kathleen) Eilers of St. Charles, MO;  his significant other -  Roxanne Williams of Coffeen, IL;  & several nieces, nephews, & cousins also survive.  He was preceded in death by his wife & father.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date.  Memorials are suggested to either the Humane Society, the NRA, or to the Arbor Day Foundation.
