John M. Slifka

John M. Slifka, 54, of Alhambra, IL, passed away at 8:14 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, IL.  He was born March 17, 1971 in Staunton, IL, the son of Frank & Alice (Kovaly) Slifka.  He married Stacy Webb on February 27, 1999 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Staunton, IL & she survives.

John was employed as an outside Sales Representative for Werts Welding in Wood River, IL.  He also had experience in the trucking & transportation industry.  He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church of Staunton, IL;  was very involved in tractor pulling, tractor parades, & working on antique tractors, & was a lifetime member of the FFA Alumni.

He is survived by his wife -  Stacy Slifka of Alhambra, IL;  one son -  Webb M. Slifka of Alhambra, IL;  his parents -  Frank & Alice Slifka of Livingston, IL;  his brother -  Mark (Tanya) Slifka of Livingston, IL;  & several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, & cousins also survive.  

Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL.  Funeral services will be held at 7 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL, with Rev. Thomas Hagstrom officiating.
