John M. Koehne

John M. Koehne, 53 of Staunton, Illinois passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Community Hospital of Staunton. Born May 4, 1968, in Staunton, Illinois, he was a son of Mr. & Mrs. John E. & Margaret (King) Koehne. He married Jennifer E. Rondi on May 19, 1990, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Staunton, Illinois and she survives. He worked as a Highway Maintenance Worker for IDOT and one of only three members of the “Pump Crew.” John served in the U.S. Air Force from 1988 to 1992. He served during Desert Shield & Desert Storm and was stationed at UAE. He was a member of the Staunton American Legion Post #362 and the Teamsters Local # 50 of Belleville, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer E. Koehne of Staunton, IL; 2 sons, Stephen (Jacquelin) Koehne of Alton, IL and Andrew Koehne of Staunton, IL; 1 granddaughter, Sara Rose Koehne of Alton, IL; parents, John & Margaret Koehne of Staunton, IL; 1 sister, Mary Catherine Raymer of Staunton, IL; 1 brother-in-law, Jonathon (Rachel) Rondi of Holiday Shores, IL; “Third Son”, Taylor Anschutz of Staunton, IL; 5 nieces, Rebecca & Natalie Raymer, Isabella, Corinne, and Alaine Rondi; father-in-law, Jim Rondi (Alice Wall) of Staunton, IL and mother-in-law, Sherry Rondi of Staunton, IL. He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Jeffrey Koehne.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 10 AM at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton with Father George Radosevich officiating. Burial will be held at Hoxsey Cemetery near Alhambra, IL. The Staunton Military Honor Guard will conduct graveside military rites. Memorials are suggested to either Parkinson’s Research Foundation, American Cancer Society, or to the family.
