James R. Makula

James R. Makula, 89, of Staunton, IL, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.  He was born October 5, 1934 in Staunton, IL, the son of the late Joseph & Julia (Radae) Makula. 

Jim was a salesman for Electrolux Vacuum Systems for many years.  He enjoyed meeting up with friends, loved animals, & will be remembered for his oil paintings.  He amused himself with scratch-off lottery tickets & sudoku puzzles.

He is survived by his sister -  Jean Massa (Robert Thornton) of Dartmouth, MA;  & numerous cousins also survive.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 AM on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL, with Pastor Nancy Hubert officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.
