Iona L. (Vermillion) Grandone

Iona L. Grandone, 95, of Staunton, Illinois, passed away at 10:36 AM on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Staunton Health & Rehab Center in Staunton, Illinois.  She was born September 12, 1927 in White Heath, Illinois, the daughter of the late Roy & Opal (Hickman) Vermillion.  

Iona was a homemaker & a member of Worden United Methodist Church of Worden, Illinois.

She is survived by a daughter -  Ramona (Lyndall) Kleeman of Freeburg, IL;  a son -  Charles (Kathy) Cunningham of Farmington, New Mexico;  six grandchildren;  ten great grandchildren;  & one great great grandchild.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters -  Nancy & Nina;  one son -  Carl;  a great grandson -  Kyle;  & a brother -  Roscoe.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 AM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL.  Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL, with burial in Monticello Township Cemetery in Monticello, Illinois.  Memorials are suggested to either Staunton Health & Rehab Activity Fund or to Worden United Methodist Church of Worden, Illinois.
