Gail Hainaut

Gail Hainaut, 66, of Granite City, Illinois, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.  She was born April 10, 1956 in Litchfield, Illinois, the daughter of the late Calvin Hainaut & the late Clara (Senaldi) Mansholt.  

Gail was employed as a Utility Technician at Granite City Steel in Granite City, Illinois.  She was a member of U.S. Steel Workers Union Local #1899.

She is survived by 1 brother -  Rick (Sheila) Hainaut of Taylorville, IL;  4 nieces -  Charis (Ryan) Lowis of Taylorville, IL,  Melissa Hainaut of Taylorville, IL,  Michelle Hainaut of Taylorville, IL,  & Alecia (Eric) Whitlock of Mt. Olive, IL;  2 nephews -  Michael (Allyson) Mansholt of Staunton, IL,  & David (Alicia) Mansholt of Staunton, IL;  several great nieces & great nephews also survive.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 sister -  Terry Lynn Mansholt;  & 1 brother -  Mark Mansholt.

Memorial services will be held at a later date & interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, Illinois.
