Frederick William Partridge Jr., 62, of Mt. Olive, Illinois, passed away at 1:59 AM on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Community Hospital of Staunton, Illinois. He was born February 26, 1961 in Wood River, Illinois, the son of Frederick W. Partridge Sr. & the late Peggy Anne (Howard) Partridge. He married Christina Tomlinson on August 24, 1979 & they later divorced.
Fred was employed as a Prison Guard at Sheridan Correctional Facility in Chicago, Illinois for many years, & served his country in the U.S. Army from 1982 to 1985. He was an avid fisherman & enjoyed riding his motorcycle & working on John Deere tractors. He was a member of the Band of Brothers Motorcycle Club.
He is survived by four children - Heather Spudich of Staunton, IL, Nicole Partridge of Staunton, IL, Corina Kaptena of Staunton, IL, & Frederick W. Partridge III of Lake Ka-Ho, IL; nine grandchildren - Lorelei, Avielle, Amelia, Delilah, MacKenzie, Sierra, Kaeden, Avery, & Maleaha; one great grandchild - Alison; his father - Frederick W. Partridge Sr. of Staunton, IL; one sister - Cindy (Rick) Tomlinson of Staunton, IL; one nephew - Justin (Sarah) Tomlinson of Staunton, IL; one great niece - Adalyn Tomlinson of Staunton, IL; & numerous aunts & uncles also survive. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by a great niece - Brooklyn.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 AM on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, with Richard Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Tine Sawyer Cemetery near Staunton, IL. The Staunton Military Honor Guard will conduct graveside military rites.
Memorials are suggested to either the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) or to the Staunton Military Honor Guard.
