Eric Bohlen

Eric Bohlen, 77, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 10:08 AM on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Community Hospital of Staunton, IL.  He was born March 1, 1948 in Litchfield, IL, the son of the late Harry & Anne (Zelenka) Bohlen.  He married Rebecca "Becky" Benson on December 18, 1971 in Paris, IL & she survives.

Eric was an Adjuster at Olin Corporation in East Alton, IL, a self-employed farmer, & served his country in the U.S. Military.  He was a loving husband & father.

He is survived by his wife -  Rebecca "Becky" Bohlen of Staunton, IL;  seven children -  Patricia Bohlen of Paris, IL,  Dennis (Amy) Bohlen of Staunton, IL,  Erik "Goober" (Sandy) Bohlen of Staunton, IL,  Ryan Bohlen of Staunton, IL,  Andria (Mark) Leezy of Staunton, IL,  Sarah (Kyle) O'Mara of Staunton, IL,  &  Drue (Allissa) Bohlen of Staunton, IL;  seven grandchildren -  David (Kira) Stuart,  Reese Bohlen,  Mark Leezy,  Riley Bohlen,  Anna O'Mara,  Madison Bohlen,  &  Lucas O'Mara;  one great grandson -  Matthew Stuart;  two sisters -  Shirley Bohm of Georgia,  &  Linda (Bill) Clark of Washington;  a sister-in-law -  Debbie Bohlen of Staunton, IL;  & several nieces & nephews also survive.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother -  Alan Bohlen.
