Ellen R. Opel, 55 of Marine, Illinois died Friday, June 19, 2020 at her residence in Marine, Illinois. Born June 21, 1964 in San Jose, CA, she was a daughter of Mary (Dudley) Snow and the late Robert Snow. She married Tim Opel on August 16, 1986 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden, IL and he survives. She worked as a Graphic Designer at Donnewald Distributing in Greenville, IL. She enjoyed painting, designing, and arts & crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Opel of Marine, IL, 1 son, Matthew Opel of Marine, IL, 1 daughter, Abbey Opel of Marine, IL, her mother, Mary Snow of Staunton, IL, 1 brother, Robert Snow Jr of North Carolina, 1 sister, Eileen Snow-Banks of Massachusetts, and dear friend, Nancy Patterson of Marine, IL. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Loren Snow.

No services are scheduled. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a pet shelter of the donor’s choice.
