Elizabeth "Bettie" (Benardin) Augustine

Elizabeth "Bettie" Augustine, 91, of Livingston, IL, passed away at 1:25 AM on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Alhambra Rehab & Health Care Center in Alhambra, IL.  She was born August 25, 1933 in Litchfield, IL, the daughter of the late Walter & Loris (Becker) Benardin.  She married John F. "Jack" Augustine on June 13, 1959 & he survives.

Bettie was employed as an Administrator in the Inspections Department at Shell Oil in Roxana, IL for many years.  She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livingston, IL & served as the Village Clerk of Livingston, IL for many years.

She is survived by her husband -  John F. "Jack" Augustine of Livingston, IL;  one daughter -  Ann Lotter of Benld, IL;  one sister -  Gail Scheller of Troy, IL;  one brother -  Larry Benardin of Williamson, IL;  & several nieces & nephews also survive.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters -  Cindy Wilson  &  Laurel Ferber.
