Eleanora M. Vesper, 102, of Staunton & Worden, Illinois, passed away at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Heritage Health in Staunton, Illinois. Born September 9, 1919 in rural Worden, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Fred & Anna (Sassenberg) Brunnworth, she lived most of her life in Worden – later moving to Staunton where she passed away. She was a life-long, active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden, a member of its Ladies Aid Society & choir, & was an avid quilter. She was also a member of Mt. Olive Senior Citizens Nutritional Center & a volunteer at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton.
She is survived by her son – Donald (Carol) Ostrowsky of Cape Coral, Florida; daughter – Donna Richard of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; grandsons – Kevin (Linda) Ostrowsky & Jeffrey (Rebecca) Ostrowsky of Cape Coral, Florida; great grandchildren – Marcy (Michael) Anderson of Minneola, Florida, Kaity (Manuel) Lima of Orlando, Florida, & Michael Ostrowsky of Cape Coral, Florida; great great grandson – Logan Anderson. Also a niece – Cynthia (Robert) Steinmeyer of Worden, Illinois, & a nephew – Richard (Vicky) Brunnworth of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by - husband Tony Ostrowsky, husband Glen Vesper, husband John Schiber, & six siblings.
Friends may call from 10:30 AM to 11 AM on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Worden, with Rev. Heath Curtis officiating. Interment will follow in Worden Lutheran Cemetery – Worden, Illinois. Memorials are suggested to either Trinity Lutheran Church of Worden or to Community Hospital of Staunton.
