Douglas W. Booth, 65 of Staunton, Illinois passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Elmwood Care Center in Maryville, Illinois. Born February 21, 1956, in Alexandria, Virginia, he was a son of the Late Eva Varble. Doug served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1977. He worked as a Repair/Maintenance Man for many years. He was a member of the Staunton VFW Post # 1241 and the Staunton Lions Club.
He is survived by 1 son, Howard “Bud” Booth of Jerseyville, IL, 5 sisters, Sue (Bud) Gilliam, Carolyn (Kenny) Williams, Marilyn Thomas, Edna Lofton, and Laura Russo, 1 brother, Bill (Patty) Booth. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his mother, he was preceded in death by 2 infant daughters, Gail Anne & Cay Lynn.
Public Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 11:00 AM at the Veteran’s Circle in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, Illinois. The Staunton Military Honor Guard will conduct graveside military rites.
