Doris A. (Roberts) Curry

Doris A. Curry, 80, of Staunton, IL, passed away at 1:20 AM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Gillespie Health & Rehab Center in Gillespie, IL.  She was born February 19, 1944 in Clarendon, AR, the daughter of the late John & Mattie (Bowermaster) Roberts.  She married Millard Edgar Curry Jr. on December 15, 1962 & he passed away on February 24, 2019.

Doris was employed as a CNA at Hampton Nursing Care in Alhambra, IL, & retired from Gillespie Heritage Manor in Gillespie, IL.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Livingston, IL, graduated from Livingston High School in Livingston, IL with the Class of 1961, & loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by four children -  Tammy (James) Pellegrino of Chandler, AZ,  Dawn (Roger) Leetham of Staunton, IL,  Michael Curry of Staunton, IL,  &  Kimberly (Brent) Redeker of Staunton, IL;  six grandchildren;  five great grandchildren;  &  seven siblings -  Ruth Blackburn,  Brenda Hancock,  Linda McCoy,  Peggy Becker,  Roger Roberts,  Vernon Roberts,  &  Jerry Roberts.

Besides her husband & parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings -  John Roberts,  William Roberts,  Riley Roberts,  David Roberts,  Alice Guthrie,  &  Beatrice Lindgens.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 2 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton, IL.  Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
