Donald Ralph Piper

Donald Ralph Piper, 89, of Moro, IL, passed away at 6:38 AM on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Staunton Health & Rehab Center in Staunton, IL.  He was born November 23, 1935 in East St. Louis, IL, the son of the late Ralph & Christine (Yorkiv) Piper.  He married Roberta Stein on February 23, 1963 & she survives.

Don served four years in the U.S. Army.  He worked at TWA, General Steel, & Shell Oil before spending over thirty years at Sears & Roebuck in various sales & management positions.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, & camping.

He is survived by his wife -  Roberta Piper;  three children -  Susan (Tim) Miller of Lawson, MO,  Steven (Kris) Piper of Staunton, IL,  &  Mark Piper of Dorsey, IL;  &  two grandchildren -  Kelsey Piper of Nokomis, FL  &  Alec Piper of Moro, IL.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son -  Donald R. Piper Jr.

Visitation will be from 10 AM to 12 noon on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL.  Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, IL, with Chaplain Austin Fairchild officiating.  

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
